| In 1638, the tall ship KALMAR NYCKEL arrived at what is now the Christina River in Wilmington, DE bringing settlers who established New Sweden. A duplicate of the KALMAR NYCKEL was launched in Wilmington on September 28, 1997 and can be viewed at the waterfront. Pictures of this beautiful ship are shown below. |
